Tell us something about your life outside of CrossFit (career, family, hobbies, etc).
My family owns a 700 seat Diner/Bar/Restaurant in Bordentown, NJ. I went to Penn State school of hospitality management to pursue a career with my Dad at the Restaurant. Long story short, a bunch of health issues arose with me and going into that business was just not realistic at the time. I opened up a Cryotherapy and Infrared Sauna business in Newtown, PA! I have been running that for the past year and i’m finally ready to go back into business with my dad full time at the restaurant! Hobbies I enjoy are anything outdoors (hiking, boating, skiing). I love checking out new plant based restaurants in all cities. Lastly, I love getting my cardio release twice a week at Soulcycle.

Tell us something that we don’t know or would be surprised to learn about you:
My diet is about 80% plant based. I like to call my lifestyle “pagen”, vegan with some paleo aspects. I eat organic eggs, wild salmon, and sometimes organic chicken and beef, all while maintaining heavy greens and many plant based proteins
How I was introduced to CrossFit:
Senior year of college, I knew I had to stop smoking. I knew I couldn’t do both. I was either a smoker and couldn’t breathe when I worked or I would become a non smoker and embrace the workout. I would pass by the crossfit gym on the way to class everyday. One random Fall day I threw away the pack and joined Crossfit Lionheart in Penn State and never looked back!
My fitness routine before CrossFit:
I was very heavy cardio all throughout HS. Always found it frustrating going into a big gym to lift. Never knew what I was doing! Then came Crossfit, finally a organized strength and conditioning program!

My proudest CrossFit accomplishment is:
All things gymnastics for me: Handstand push-ups, kipping pull-ups, toes to bar. I feel very proud once i’m able to conquer them. To me, there the most “fun” once you got em!
My favorite WOD is:
Anything that combines some cleans and running. We did a WOD on my birthday this year that was killer! LETS DO IT AGAIN!

How has CrossFit affected your life outside of the gym?
I have become so much more confident outside of the gym! Crossfit has become my therapy. If i’m down,stressed, or anxious. Nothing a good WOD can’t fix! Crossfit has made me such a team player, always looking to support someone else in their journey or give a helping hand.
What I love most about CrossFit Newtown:
I love the camaraderie between all members and coaching staff. No one has a “chip on their shoulder”! Everybody is supportive of one another and we’re all there for the same reason: to do the damn thing!
What advice I would give to someone just joining CrossFit Newtown:
To not get so hung up on what everyone else is doing. Don’t pay attention or let the “whiteboard” effect how you feel or overwhelm you. Do you and stay in your own lane. Stay focused on one crossfit goal at a time and amazing things will start to unfold!

Don’t underestimate greens! Greens are absolute power foods!
