Tell us something about your life outside of CrossFit (career, family, hobbies, etc).

I have competitively swam for 13 years and now coach a club team at Council Rock North. That’s why I also leave in such a rush every 4:30 class!

 

My favorite book or movie:

I’m not a big reader but my favorite 2 movies are Inception and Shutter Island! If you haven’t seen them go watch them now.

 

My favorite local restaurant:

Taqueria Feliz! It’s in Manayunk and they have the best tacos and margaritas!

 

Tell us something that we don’t know or would be surprised to learn about you:

I do criminal background checks, so I know all your stories… Haha just kidding

 

How I was introduced to CrossFit:

Tori Hall introduced it to me. I didn’t think I was going to like it but here I am almost 2 years later.

 

My fitness routine before CrossFit:

Swimming and then after college, not much just running here and there.

 

My thoughts after my first CrossFit workout:  

I think I’m actually dead…

 

My proudest CrossFit accomplishment is:  

Finally be able to do a full rope climb and also getting a PR in power clean this past summer

 

My favorite WOD is:

I don’t have a specific one but any WOD with hang cleans or hang snatches in it

 

My Favorite Lift is:

Power cleans

 

My next goal is:  

Bar muscle up?

 

How has CrossFit affected your life outside of the gym?

I am definitely not as tired as I used to be and feel more energetic through the day. Also, this is the best shape I’ve ever been in my life!

 

What I love most about CrossFit Newtown:  

Always feeling like I have nothing left in me after the workouts! I love how everyone encourages one another during lifts and also can have fun and laugh but be in pain at the same time.

 

What advice I would give to someone just joining CrossFit Newtown:

Be patience! Everything will come together whether it’s movements/lifts/diets it just takes time!

 

Do you have any diet/nutritional advice?

I should be the last person to ask. I don’t really diet but I would say do what works for you and not what other people are doing.
