Tell us something about your life outside of CrossFit (career, family, hobbies, etc).
I live in Upper Makefield with my wife Miri and our two daughters Ella and Sage. I’m a printer by trade and co-owner of a buy and hold real estate company that I started with a partner in 2013. I love anything outdoors but I have a passion for bowhunting and 3D archery and am always on the lookout for new places to hunt.
My favorite book or movie:
Into Thin Air by Jon Krakaue, Pulp Fiction
My favorite local restaurant:
I’m mostly a pizza and wings guy so I would have to say Dominicks pizzeria in Washington Crossing
Tell us something that we don’t know or would be surprised to learn about you:
I’m a crazy cat lady. I have two cats Julius and LuLu I love how they have a very wild side to them.
How I was introduced to CrossFit:
My wife after talking with Lisa Strigel thought I would like it and convinced me to try it out.
My fitness routine before CrossFit:
Running, P90X, and the normal gym routine
My thoughts after my first CrossFit workout:
It was tough but I loved it and knew immediately that it was something that I would really enjoy.
My proudest CrossFit accomplishment is:
Being named athlete of the month and finally stringing double unders together
My favorite WOD is:
Isabel although I have yet to try to Rx it
My Favorite Lift is:
Definitely the snatch I try to never miss a WOD when the snatch is programmed
My next goal is:
Make it to the final WOD in a competition
How has CrossFit affected your life outside of the gym?
I like to run obstacle course races and it’s helped increase my speed and endurance dramatically
What I love most about CrossFit Newtown:
The atmosphere. Even on days I don’t feel that great and would rather just skip it if I can manage to get to the gym I’m motivated and able to push through the WOD.
What advice I would give to someone just joining CrossFit Newtown:
I would say be open to being coached and be patient with your progress.
Do you have any diet/nutritional advice?
I think we all know what we should and shouldn’t eat but actually eating well is easier said than done. For me the best way to stick with it is by prepping meals for the week on Sunday mornings that way I’m not scrambling during a busy work week.
